The Oklahoma Department of Corrections continues to make measurable progress in strengthening public safety, supporting its workforce and modernizing facilities across the state. “Nearly 95% of the people in our custody will one day return to Oklahoma communities,” said ODOC Executive Director Justin Farris.

Oklahoma bill would let inmates earn good-time credits sooner while awaiting prison transfer
A bill filed in advance of the 2026 legislative session would let state prisoners start earning credits for good behavior faster. Sen. Dave Rader, R-Tulsa, filed Senate Bill 1213 after meeting with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections about how the state can reform its criminal justice system.

ODOC seizes millions in contraband during 2025
